HOW MUCH IS REQUIRED TO HOLD THE DATE FOR MY EVENT
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD FOR MY EVENT?
All food provided at SmithHouse must be provided by a licensed professional caterer that has an established business. All food must be delivered and set-up by the caterer. We do not have the facilities to prepare, heat, cool or store food.
WHAT COMES WITH THE RENTAL?
SmithHouse provides 4 wood tables and 16 upholstered chairs. The Bridal Suite is also in the rental. Everything else at SmithHouse can be rented from our rental company.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN ALCOHOL?
No. All alcohol must be provided by the SmithHouse Bar. Under no circumstances can outside alcohol be brought in.
CAN I BRING BRING HOME MY LEFTOVER CATERING?
No, our health policy does not allow food that has been sitting out on a buffet to be packaged and taken home.
AM I PERMITTED TO USE WHATEVER RENTAL COMPANY I WISH?
No. All items being rented for the purposes of an event at SmithHouse must be rented through SmithHouse. Our sister company, SmithHouse Rentals or A Classic Party Rentals. SmithHouse works directly with SmithHouse Rentals and A Classic to ensure you have all items needed for your event. Specialty items such as decor and furniture can be rented through a 3rd party vendor with the approval of SmithHouse.
WHY AM I BEING REQUIRED TO HIRE A WEDDING COORDINATOR FOR MY WEDDING AT SMITHHOUSE?
A wedding coordinator is required at SmithHouse for all wedding ceremony and receptions. SmithHouse believes it is important for a bride and groom to enjoy their wedding day. Therefore, SmithHouse must have a contact person that is in charge of the wedding should a problem occur. The couple is welcome to hire their own coordinator or hire our in-house coordinator. A planning meeting with the coordinator is required before the event. A timeline of the day is due to SmithHouse prior to the event as well.
CAN I USE MY OWN DJ?
No. SmithHouse has a list of preferred disk jockeys that we are happy to provide to you. Other entertainment vendors such as bands, singers and instrumental groups is subject to SmithHouse approval.
